BETTING billionaire Denise Coates has cemented her status as Britain’s richest woman — raking in £270million last year.
The Bet365 chief got a £221million salary and around £50million in share dividends.

In 2020, she paid herself £469million — one of the biggest salaries in British history — as Bet365’s lockdown profits soared.
But her huge windfall was slammed yesterday.
Luke Hildyard, of the High Pay Centre think tank, said: “People deserve to be rewarded for innovation and success but there’s a question of what’s sensible and proportionate.
“Pouring hundreds of millions more on top of billionaire fortunes every year isn’t a good way to maximise living standards.”
Ms Coates set up the online betting firm from a cabin in a Stoke car park more than 20 years ago after taking on her dad’s chain of betting shops.
The family, including her brother John, were the 16th wealthiest Brits in last year’s Sunday Times Rich List— with an estimated £8.79billion.
Ms Coates, 56, is also one of the UK’s biggest taxpayers, stumping up an estimated £460.2million to the Treasury last year.
